About the Position: Incumbent reports to Department Director PWD, U.S. Army Quartermaster School. Receives general supervision from the Director who: (1) provides, policy and program guidance; (2) renders advice and/or decisions on the more complex matters, procedures, and regulations, and (3) reviews work for overall adequacy as reflected in accomplishment of assigned branches under this position.

Duties

Responsible for the application of a variety of learning options and modes of instructional delivery including distance learning. Interact with high-level managers within the petroleum and water community and senior leaders in the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) to determine training needs. Serves as a first-line supervisor, exercising the full range of personnel management responsibilities over subordinate positions. Responsible for the course development, modifications, implementation, and evaluation of the Program of Instruction (POI) for three Initial Military Training (IMT) courses and one functional course. Develop training programs to assist in the development of all Instructors and Training Specialist to include blended learning facilitation and Operational Environment training.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
