The primary purpose of this position is to provide the CUI Program Manager will develop, manage, and maintain the DAF CUI policy, monitor implementation of the policy, and provide oversight of the CUI Program for the DAF.
Duties
As the lead and technical authority for the DAF CUI Program as an element of the DAF Information Security
Program, enforces all operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of the program.
Provides direct support, senior-level security expertise, guidance, and direction to the civilian and military work force at specific HAF and SF directorates, MAJCOMs, numbered Air Forces, wings, or bases as assigned; serves as the DAF representative for all related CUI issues and assists the DAF Information Security Program Manager with implementation of the Information Security Program.
Incumbent is responsible for providing assistance to the Personnel and Industrial Security Program Managers.
Develops requirements, with assistance of the DAF Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) Program Manager, to satisfy security education and training requirements for the DAF.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes:Applying knowledge of Information Security concepts, principles and practices to review, analyze and resolve security related issues, applying knowledge of Controlled Unclassified Information concepts, principles and practices to review and analyze program standards, developing security education programs, providing training and assisting in operating security programs, planning, developing, implementing and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program, establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with coworkers, customer and contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful mission accomplishment.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of Information Security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve issues, in
particular, knowledge of the Controlled Unclassified Information program standards.
Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, and procedures to develop security education
programs, provide training, and assist in operating security programs.
Skill in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and
improve the security program.
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a
cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
