About the Position: The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. ACC-APG supports the warfighter worldwide through acquisition of goods & services vital to the Soldier's mission & well-being.
Duties
Serves as Budget Analyst for the ACC with overall responsibilities for formulating and justifying a major segment of the command's budget.
Develops budget/program processes, procedures and guidance for executing financial management plans and programs.
Allocates funds to individual organizations/programs based on an analysis of budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected workload, and approved funding.
Advises program managers and management officials on the status and availability of funds.
Conducts special studies, analyzes data trends, develops projections of program funding requirements, and recommends financial strategies and actions for meeting program requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified designated position. Must be able to obtain and maintain all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.

Specialized Experience: 1) Monitoring budget execution; 2) Analyzing budget data to ensure compliance; 3) Executing financial management plans and programs; AND 4) Analyzing budgetary reports to resolve resource management and/or execution deficiencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
