You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MARINE CORP LOGISTICS COMMAND of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.
Duties
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and revises short term and Jong term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
You will find ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed.
You will Identify developmental and training needs of employees and provides for or arranges needed development and training.
You will exercise significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or in advising higher level management officials.
You will conduct analysis of cost and benefits to develop recommendations on whether or not to pursue contract work efforts.
You will track progress and quality of contractor performance. Makes arrangements for required inspections.
You will determine acceptability of work products or services, and similar matters which may affect payment to contractors.
You will provide guidance and direction in reviewing the appropriateness of existing DOD logistics management support policies for new and/or highly innovative systems, technologies and fielding.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position requires which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of military Command structures, missions, and programs for organizations involved in logistics and readiness activities; Skill in coordinating extensive projects in assigned areas of responsibility.
