You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the 2d Marine Force Storage Battalion, Weapons Division of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.
Duties
You will serve as the Director of the Weapons Division, 2D Marine Force Storage Battalion.
You will provide policy guidance and direction for the accomplishment of all logistical functions and services in accordance with broad goals and objectives established by the command.
You will plan and direct work to be accomplished by personnel, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
You will direct the development of goals and scope of long-range plans and projects, studies and evaluations for all aspects of storing combat ready capability sets in order to support and sustain the Expeditionary Force in Readiness.
You will devise and institute innovative techniques of management and/or technology in order to compete with ever increasing demands for quantity, quality, and complexity of service in the face of diminishing resources.
You will conduct broad and comprehensive formal studies of benefits, impacts, characteristics and problems associated with logistics policy.
You will provide guidance and assistance in the evaluation of complex strategic logistics program problems, evaluate information collected and recommend courses of action.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You may be required to be recalled to duty.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting comprehensive formal studies of benefits, impacts, and problems associated with logistics policy, developing process improvement initiatives, directing the development of long-range plans, projects and evaluations to support and sustain force readiness, and administration of others in the performance of related logistics duties.
