About the Position: This position serves as a Future Plans Specialist (MCTP) for the Mission Control Command Training Program (MCTP), Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Duties
As a Future Plans Specialist (MCTP), you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Utilize a diverse background and experience to integrate all aspects of Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO), Multidomain Operations (MDO), Joint Operations, and Multinational Operations in a live, virtual, and/or constructive training environment.
Responsible for leading and facilitating the development, implementation, and evaluation of medium to long range, strategic mission support plans, and exercise support plans.
Develop, adapt, modifies, rewrites, coordinates, and implements program level plans (medium/long range and strategic), policies and programs consistent with mission/operations plans, goals, and guidance.
Conduct mid- and long-range planning to include preparation of command guidance and long-range calendar synchronization.
Conduct visits with counterparts at higher headquarters to develop, coordinate and finalize plans and projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance is required.
- This position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program. Condition of employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the drug abuse testing program, or a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
- The position requires TDY travel (25%) in the accomplishment of duties and responsibilities.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes leading and facilitating the development, implementation, and evaluation of medium to long range, strategic mission support plans, and exercise support plans for live, virtual and/or constructive training environments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
