You will serve as a GG-0132-14 Supervisory Intelligence Specialist for the NAVAL INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITY (NIA) at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. As the Deputy Chief of Staff, you will provide long-term continuity of leadership, management, oversight, and execution of daily staff operations as well as supervision of operations officers and administrative personnel.
Duties
You will be responsible for the coordination, assignment, and timely completion of validated tasking and administrative activity.
You will facilitate and track all incoming tasks on multiple tracker systems.
You will enhance and solidify relationships with key customers and partners in the Navy and Intelligence Community on key intelligence issues to inform strategic multi-million dollar budget and acquisition decisions.
You will supervise the Naval Intelligence Activity Operations Officer and administrative personnel, both military and civilian, to ensure operational and administrative functions are accomplished in accordance with mission objectives.
You will organize, develop, manage, and lead activities; develop strategies; and set goals in order to staff, train, develop, and enable assigned personnel to achieve objectives and address mission requirements.
You will coordinate the accomplishment of major projects/tasks and will be responsible for policies, plans, and analyses that directly shape and improve operations.
You will be responsible for providing justification, direction, and allocation of resources.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
- Some travel may be required within/outside U.S.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as:
1. Coordinate, assign, and ensure the timely completion of validated tasking and administrative activity.
2. Plan, direct, assign, lead, and monitor work; hire or select employees; evaluate employee performance; discipline employees; and resolve employee complaints.
3. Coordinate the accomplishment of major projects/tasks and oversee policies, plans, and analyses that directly shape and improve operations.
4. Provide justification, direction, and allocation of resources.
