This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families.

Duties
Directly supervises and provides guidance and training to the BOSS President and Vice President on all assigned duties.
Responsible for providing guidance and training to over 500 BOSS representatives on the installation.
Oversees, plans, coordinates, and administers activities based on the pillars of the BOSS program, i.e. community service and recreation and leisure.
Plans and coordinates special events assigned to the Directorate of Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DMWR), Recreation Division (RD).
Solicits for sponsorship under the direct supervision of the installation MWR Marketing Department and develops a marketing plan for recreational programs.
Requirements

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
- This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
- Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
- This position is designated as a Key Essential position for the purpose of deploying during contingency operations to support Soldiers.
- A one-year Supervisory probationary period may be required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
- Physical ability to work outside in heat, cold, dust, mud and wind.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk (sometimes on uneven surfaces) climb, kneel, stoop, push, and pull.
- Physical ability to lift and carry light to moderate weights up to 60 pounds.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
experience performing as the subject matter expert (SME) for the installation Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS), AND
ability to manage multiple projects and determine priorities of work under the guidance of SOPs, APF and NAF BOSS regulations, AND
ability to learn military correspondence procedures and deal with the public, AND
excellent verbal and written skills in English, AND
a working knowledge of basic software, budget formulation and administration.
