You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY OFFICE of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
Duties
You will be responsible for administrating security requirements and classification guidance for command classified contracts.
You will be designated as a Contracting Officer’s Security Representative (COSR) and assist in the administration of the Industrial Security Program.
You will prepare written documents on physical security policies, procedures and issues for publication and distribution throughout command.
You will review military construction drawings for compliance with security requirements.
You will inspect protective barriers, lighting, intrusion detection systems and other access control systems to ensure they meet established requirements.
You will conduct physical security surveys and inspections.
You will interpret and apply higher authority guidelines on all phases of physical security disciplines for local implementation.
You will serve as a technical advisor on Physical Security rules, regulations and procedures for PSNS and IMF as well as tenant commands, ships force and contractor personnel.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and interpreting policies, procedures and regulations to assist with planning, development and implementation of Physical and Industrial Security programs.
For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and interpreting policies, procedures and regulations for planning, development and implementation of Physical and Industrial Security programs.

GS-09:
Master's OR equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related.
GS-11:
Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
