Duties
You will supervise development and implementation of security policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying security issues and protecting security information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material .
You will develop, evaluate, and maintain operating systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials.
You will develop and implement policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of persons requiring access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
You will identify and implement recommendations/solutions to complex or unyielding problems, risks, and potential outcomes in the assigned
program area(s).
You will maintain administrative expertise for cutting-edge technology, equipment, and tools.
You will plan for all aspects of new designs, research and development, or re-evaluation of new/changing elements in assigned program areas.
You will coordinate with internal and external customers across a broad spectrum of government employees, military members, consultants, contractors, other government organizations, or private industry.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certificate (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level (GS-11) or NH-02 pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the protection of information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material.
