About the Position: This Program Analyst position is located at US Army Forces Command, Fort Liberty, NC. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Provides continuity for the FORSCOM Chaplain Section Operations Officer by advising the FORSCOM Chaplain Section on program planning, assessment, coordination, assistance and consultation services. Prepares training guidance for FORSCOM Chaplain Section that synchronizes with Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) training guidance for training equipping and deployment of subordinate Chaplain Sections and Unit Ministry Teams. Provides continuity for the directorate by coordinating with and participation in the FORSCOM Ready and Resilient (R2) and Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) meetings, and development.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • May be required to work Other than normal duty hours, flexible work schedule.
  • Incumbent may be required to complete a 1-year probationary period.

Experience in Operational force environment for extensive knowledge of HQDA and FORSCOMs chaplaincy concepts, principles and practices relative to plans, operations and training; 2. a large variety of administrative, financial, budget, program support and management services needed to sustain training, manpower, resources, processes, and procedures to accomplish the mission. 3. Prepares training guidance for Chaplain Section that synchronizes with Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) training guidance for training equipping and deployment of subordinate Chaplain Sections and Unit Ministry Teams. and 4. Participates in evaluating results of exercises and reporting of performance along with corrective actions; serves on the exercise evaluation team; prepares reports and presents findings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational AwarenessOrganizational Performance AnalysisPerformance Measurement Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
