About the Position: Serves as a Budget Analyst in the Budget and Manpower Division, US Army Audit Agency. Performs a wide range of budgetary and administrative functions to support the Agency's execution of its mission.
Duties
Develop and coordinate supplemental budget instructions for assigned programs/areas.
Examine and assess the funding requirements to ensure compliance with Dept of Defense (DOD)/Dept of Army (DOA) funding guidance and policies.
Identify significant changes in DOD and HQDA policy or guidance which impact the planning and execution of assigned programs in the current and budget years.
Evaluate the funding guidance and resource levels for their adequacy to support the mission and objectives of assigned programs.
Coordinate with co-workers within the budget office, and other persons who provide information about the programs and budgets of the assigned organizations.
Create viable recommendations for resolution of complex problems to include proposal for reprogramming initiatives which realign resources within the programs.
Develop recommended distribution of fund allotments, targets, and limitations for assigned programs by analyzing past and projected funding requirements and utilization.
Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation assigned transactions and takes corrective action, as necessary.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain an INTERIM Secret clearance prior to employment and maintain a fully adjudicated Secret clearance during employment.
- Financial Management Level 2 certification must be obtained within the timeframe established by management. Failure to obtain this certification within the required timeframe may result in adverse action.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
