You will serve as a JOINT OPERATIONS PLANNER in the CAMPAIGN OPS SECT of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Duties
You will develop and coordinate operational plans which support maritime homeland defense, campaign plans, and the Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) operations in accordance with the Joint Operational Planning Process.
You will support and participate on Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) and provide planning process subject matter expertise to Cross Functional Teams as required.
You will serve as principal advisor and subject matter expert for the proper integration of Navy capabilities into homeland defense campaign and contingency plans for USNORTHCOM and USSTRATCOM.
You will provide planning support for USFF/USNAVNORTH service and functional component supporting plans, concepts of operation (CONOPS), and operations orders (OPORDSs).
You will coordinate and review operational planning performed by subordinate commands to ensure they are properly responsive to higher headquarters policy and guidance.
You will participate in assigned Maritime Operations Center (MOC), Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), Operations Assessment Cell, and/or the Operations Assessment Working Group (OAWG).
You will support the generation of staff and Flag and Senior Executive Service (SES) level products such as briefing books, information or point papers, Navy messages, draft orders and slide presentations suitable for review at the Flag/SES level.
You will participate in reviews of Joint and Service doctrine publications, specifically as they relate to the employment of Navy MHD capabilities.
You will support the identification of capability gaps/deficiencies in preparation for and execution of CCMD and service Annual Joint Assessments (AJA).
You will travel and attend conferences, exercises, tabletop exercises (TTXs), or meetings in support of operational planning responsibilities.
You will support data entry into JOPES and the Joint Capabilities Requirements Management System (JCRM) related to OPORDs developed to support USSTRATCOM and USNORTHCOM.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with the Department of the Navy joint planning processes and Navy MOC operations.
Experience with National Defense/Military Strategies, Unified Command Plan, Guidance for Employment of the Force, Global Force Management Implementation Guidance; and Joint Strategic Campaign Plan.
Experience with service and joint command relationships as outlined in the Standard Navy Distribution List (SNDL), Unified Command Plan (UCP), and Forces for Unified Commands, and Joint Publications.
Experience with planning factors for Navy forces to include service organization, manning, training, equipping, and readiness.
Experience with and knowledge of defense, military, Navy and assigned combatant commander strategies and plans.
