About the Position: You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (Military) with the U.S. Army Futures Command, Software Factory Directorate in Austin, TX. providing the full spectrum of military personnel services, programs, and systems processing.

Duties
Execute, and/or coordinate a variety of officer and enlisted military personnel programs/actions.
Develop solutions and programs to address emerging issues affecting officer and enlisted personnel.
Use military personnel applications such as the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A) and Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS), Evaluation Entry System (EES) to complete work.
Lead a diverse workforce to support personnel manning and management objectives.
Recommend changes to established procedures and practices to support organizational goals.
Review/prepare/present briefings on mission areas of responsibility to explain policies and programs, and human resource management programs
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.
- Temporary duty travel may be required approximately 10% of the time.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting with planning, coordinating, and/or implementing human resources programs; 2) providing interpretation and instructions on personnel laws/policies/procedures; and 3) writing or presenting briefings for senior leadership, conferences, workshops, or special committees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-12 or above]).
