You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Division of the Command Operations Department of Fleet Readiness Center East (FRC East) of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will independently review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems.
You will develop and recommend and/or implement procedures and practices to cover multiple security objectives.
You will provide technical expertise in physical security requirements and procedures.
You will be responsible for providing direction, guidance and supervision to subordinate personnel in the Physical Security Division.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following; 1) Knowledge of a complex set of local, state, and federal statues, court decisions and Department of Defense (DOD), Department of the Navy (DON), NAVAIR and FRC East orders and regulations, rules, procedures, and methods of operation to perform independently the full range of physical security specialist activities; 2) Safeguarding classified and sensitive materials, information and/or processes, preventing unauthorized disclosure, enforcing specialized personnel access controls, and protecting and preventing unauthorized access to restricted areas, 3) Knowledge of a variety of state-of-the art security equipment and devices in planning and implementing protective methods and security procedures. 4) Conducting investigations and making sound recommendations to resolve complex issues; 5) Effectively communicating security requirements and working collaboratively with mangers, employees, visitors, and representatives from other commands to overcome problems while meeting asset protection requirements.

Education
If qualifying based on education, applicant must posses:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
