You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST (Assistant Services Officer) in the Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MCAS CHERRY POINT.
Duties
You will assist in the planning, managing, and evaluating of operations of police support services to include police records, administration, supply, crime prevention, physical security, installation access control, and vehicle impound.
You will assist with coordination of crime prevention and physical security measures with installation fire and safety representatives to ensure compatibility with fire and safety regulations.
You will draft administrative policies and procedures, prepare internal instructions, operating policies, procedures and guidelines and recommend required changes to meet program goals and objectives.
You will conduct required initial training, sustainment training and training of new policies and laws.
You will supervise the Records Branch, receiving, reviewing and approving reports, reviews, surveys and records
You will review all plans for new construction or major modification of MWR, retail and service activities, disbursing offices, commissaries, warehouse storing high value items, armories and ammunition storage areas.
You will provide technical, operational and administration supervision over the Services Division, PMO/MCPD.
You will manage government weapons assigned to PMO/MCPD and ensure accountability of weapons.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and be able to maintain a U.S. Government emergency vehicle operator's license.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires rotating shift work.
- May be required to respond to off base circumstances as directed by installation commanders, with USMC and DoD policy.
- This position is subject to 24-hour recall and will maintain a 24 hour recall notification number and is required to respond per installation policy/SOP. May be subject to being interrupted from meal or other work breaks while on duty.
- This position does not require wearing a uniform or carrying a weapon.
- Failure to meet conditions of employment may result in disciplinary action or termination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in the planning, managing and evaluating operations of police support services, developing plans, procedures and processes and coordinating required training.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
