You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MCAS CHERRY POINT.
Duties
You will be responsible for security measures, equipment and requirements for physical security, crime prevention, anti-terrorism and force protection.
You will provide system administration and management of the Marine Corps Electronic Security System (MCESS); scheduling and conducting required testing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
You will conduct, review and approve physical security surveys and crime prevention surveys, facility design plans, drawings, diagrams and other work completed by physical security specialists.
You will supervise and maintain Lost and Found Program; review security waivers and exception requests
You will conduct physical security education training programs.
You will assist in the planning, managing, directing, evaluating and operations of police support services.
You will develop and implement Force Protection Condition (FPCON) plans, procedures and measures.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires rotating shift work
- May be required to respond to off base circumstances as directed by installation commanders, with USMC and DoD policy.
- This position is subject to 24-hour recall and will maintain a 24 hour recall notification number and is required to respond per installation policy/SOP. May be subject to being interrupted from meal or other work breaks while on duty.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, administering and managing a physical security program; enhancing security and crime prevention posture of installation and administering and managing security measures, equipment and requirements for physical security, crime prevention, anti-terrorism and force protection aboard the installation.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
