About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 404th Army Field Support Brigade, at Goose Creek, South Carolina.
Duties
Plan, establish, manage, oversee, and execute Continental United States (CONUS)/Outside the Continental U.S. (OCONUS) operations in support of the reconstitution and maintenance of pre-positioned afloat materiel and contingencies.
Ensure that contractor performed equipment services, modification, preventative maintenance, repairs, and maintenance programs meet those requirements specified in the contract.
Serve as shop/project lead for branch functions.
Develop policy and procedures applicable to government operations, the contractor's statement of work, and surveillance plans.
Participate in logistics and/or maintenance planning sessions to develop schedules, determine production/test equipment needs, and identify facility requirements.
Serve as a commodity authority for wheeled/tracked vehicles, communication/electronics equipment, missile systems, troop support equipment, or other types of Army materiel designated as part of the Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS) program.
Analyze statistical data and performs objective reviews of government and contractor performed functions to verify the adequacy, effectiveness, and compliance of operations to requirements.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing logistical program oversight; 2) Assisting in planning, establishing, and/or developing operational logistics criteria; and 3) Providing recommendations to improve logistical procedures and/or policies for supply operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
