About the Position: Serves as a Budget Analyst within the Deputy Chief for Resource Management, G-8, Budget, Integration and Cost Division, with responsibility for programming, budgeting, and fund control functions of U.S. Army Materiel Command's assigned appropriations.

Duties

Provide analysis and evaluation of major appropriations legislation and funding throughout the complete Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution Systems (PPBES) cycle to ensure proper integration, data integrity and consistency in analysis. Research and analyze programming and execution of major appropriations to present recommendations for requirements, fund realignments, burn rates, cost benefit analysis, and trend analysis. Utilize PPBE databases and financial systems to provide impartial analysis and assessment of financial data for use by leadership and management officials for decision making purposes. Remains in constant contact with related program and budget representatives within the Army enterprise to assure mutual understanding of objectives and proper interpretation of guidance, policies and procedures.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• This position requires Financial Management Level II certification within 24 months of entrance on duty.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
