About the Position: This position provides support to rotational unit training through battle tracking, real time monitoring, data collection, computer operations and training analysis functions for U.S. Army Forces Command, National Training Center.

Duties

Provides situational awareness in support of rotational unit training. Provides feedback in support of rotational unit training. Conducts real time monitoring and tracking, data collection, computer operations, database validation, radio communication, video product manipulation and training analysis and reports. Interacts with rotational training unit by performing higher staff functions and dissemination products to facilitate the training event. Coordinates with other analysts and subject matter experts to provide common operating picture. Develops storyboards utilizing analysis tools to provide feedback to rotational units to capture trends and lessons learned. Assimilates data collected during rotational unit exercises into usable information for instrumented after action review. Develops products for formal and informal feedback through after action review, distributed training media and briefings and prepare take-home pack for rotational unit.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid Military Driver's License.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing instrumentation systems for the planning, monitoring, analysis and feedback of training requirements or objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: education or business administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Instructional Delivery and Learner DevelopmentLearning and Program EvaluationTraining and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
