This position serves as the acquisition portfolio manager supporting Power Services Group (PSG), AJW-22. Recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) in the acquisition of power system equipment, design, and installation services.

Duties

The Aviation Technical Systems Specialist serves as the acquisition portfolio manager supporting Power Services Group (PSG), AJW-22. Serves as a recognized subject matter expert (SME) on National Airspace System (NAS) system and equipment to perform critical tasks requiring the development of new concepts, systems, or innovative approaches. Provides leadership for highly complex and challenging activities under minimal direction of a manager or executive. Acts as a technical expert to develop new and innovative concepts, approaches, methodologies, techniques, and polices for power system acquisition related work activities.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.

Qualifications

Candidates must have one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (FV-J or FG/GS-14) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:Experience with power system requirements, prioritization of power sustainment projects and the development of power sustainment budgets.Experience ensuring the acquisition of equipment and services takes place to meet program schedules.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
