As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.This position is of the Manager of the Strategic Operations Security group within the Air Traffic Organization’s (ATO) System Operations Security directorate.

Duties

The group manager leads and oversees a wide array of highly specialized policy, planning, procedures, and program efforts integral to the success of the directorate and broader ATO activities to protect the U.S. and its interests from threats involving the Air Domain, and to mitigate the impact of those threats and associated responses on the safety, efficiency, and accessibility of the Nation's aviation system. The group manager directs the three teams composing Strategic Operations Security.

• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
• Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
• Unless previously completed, the incumbent must satisfactorily complete a 1-year probationary period to remain in this supervisory or managerial position.
• Travel may be to domestic and International locations.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-K, FG/GS-15 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized experience is defined as: Experience leading the formulation and implementation of statutory/legal and regulatory mandates, policies, plans, and procedures to achieve strategic aviation security or emergency management goals.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
