As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Air Traffic Services provides safe, secure, and efficient management of the National Airspace System (NAS) and international airspace assigned to U.S. control.
Duties
The incumbent serves as one of two General Managers, Operational Policy and Implementation and Operations Planning and Integration, Air Traffic Operations Headquarters, Air Traffic Services of the Air Traffic Organization (ATO). The incumbent integrates work of multiple organizations to meet strategic goals of the organization and the FAA, participates in strategic planning for the FAA, and makes commitments (program, budget, etc.) for a major organization. They manage the work of a large, multi-level organization, typically through subordinate managers. The combined staff consists of approximately 110 specialists, analysts, and managers, including
22 K band managers responsible for facilitating the Operational Policy and Implementation and Operations.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-K, FG/GS-15 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is: Experience integrating NextGen capabilities and emerging technologies into the NAS this includes applying detailed technical knowledge of NAS systems, equipment, processes, and procedures to serve as the focal point for air traffic issues and initiatives.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Interview Policy: Some, all or none of the applicants may be interviewed.Security Clearance: Selection and placement are contingent upon waiver or completion of satisfactory security requirement for a critical-sensitive clearance.Temporary Change of Station (TCS)- $27,000 will be paid each way, however if position is made permanent return trip TCS payment is forfeited.In accordance with HRPM. EMP 1.29/1.29A, this position may be Career Enhancement Assignment/Career Progression. The selectee(s) may be eligible for pay retention. Career Diversity is not enhanced when an employee is assigned to a staff or supervisory position in which they previously held on a permanent basis. CEP/CP selectees will be required to certify eligibility.
