You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (CUSTOMER SUPPORT) in the ENTERPRISE SERVICES BRANCH, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HUENEME DIVISION.

Duties

You will assist in the responsibility for Information Technology Procurement Request (ITPR) processing and IT Material and Service Procurement. You will serve as the IT Procurement Team Lead in support of IT material and service procurements to address customer IT requirements. You will assess and develop IT requirements and then provide support for ensuring that requested IT materials and services are coordinated and submitted in accordance with Nav/ DoD IT procurement policy and regulations. You will provide IT material acceptance services and integrate receipt processes into IT procurement ordering processes to ensure accuracy between requested and received IT service/material. You will provide analysis of existing business process and make recommendations to management for improving process efficiency and usability. You will serve as the point of contact responsible for the planning, budgeting, and execution of the Network Service Cost Center.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 411, proficiency level Basic the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing new or existing network installation and customer requirements to manage projects, evaluate and develop funding plans, and provide guidance on technical issues impacting Information Technology material and service procurements for an organization. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
