You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the COMMANDER, NAVAL SURFACE FORCE ATLANTIC, MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING of CNSL PORT ENGINEERS.
Duties
You will track and report on maintenance availability execution in accordance with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual and Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic directives and guidance.
You will review and provide recommendations for maintenance planning, executing new and growth repairs and accomplishing modernization related requirements.
You will work with key stakeholders to develop, coordinate and implement mitigation strategies for identified obstacles and impacts.
You will review and analyze continuous maintenance requirements in comparison to the available budget, availability and operational schedule and determine the priority for accomplishing those maintenance request.
You will provide active support in the preparation for and execution of Maintenance and Modernization Program Review (MMPR).

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-12 your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience demonstrating knowledge in Navy Ship Depot Level Maintenance Programs, Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) requirements, and Operation and Maintenance, Navy (O&MN) funding appropriations.
Experience analyzing Navy Maintenance Reports and providing recommendations on maintenance planning, execution and accomplishing modernization related requirements;
Experience identifying and solving complex problems and communicating them in a clear, concise and organized manner, both orally and in writing;
Experience coordinating the planning, tracking, and execution and reporting of annual maintenance budgets for assigned surface ships
Experience planning, estimating, scheduling, and executing oversight and evaluation of assigned ships.
To qualify for the GS-11 your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience demonstrating knowledge in Navy Ship Depot Level Maintenance Programs, Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) requirements, and Operation and Maintenance, Navy (O&MN) funding appropriations;
Experience analyzing Navy Maintenance Reports on maintenance planning, execution and accomplishing modernization related requirements;
Experience identifying and solving complex problems and communicating them in a clear, concise and organized manner, both orally and in writing.
