You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Intermediate Level Procurement Branch, Supply Chain Management, Support Team, Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) Mayport ofNAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will provide a full range of supply support services required to meet scheduled and unscheduled Intermediate and Deport level maintenance. You will perform technical review of material requirements to cross part numbers to National Stock Numbers (NSN) when possible and verify MILSTRIP data for requisition submission. You will manage and be responsible for the Government Purchase Card Records Management Program. You will prepare reports and other written correspondence pertaining to operational and technical matters within the Intermediate Level Procurement Branch. You will provide technical direction / clarification and guidance to contract specifications included in the statement of work. You will serve as a Primary Record Liaison Custodian as related to material procurement.

Requirements

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Supply Technician work applying an extensive knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied federal supply principles, concepts, and methodologies to support a supply system. Experience must also include a fundamental understanding of Procurement and Government contracting principles, procedures, and precedents. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Processing and resolving disputes with vendors; 2) Adjusting invoices to preclude interest payments to the financialinstitution; 3) Placing orders with various vendors using the Government Purchase Card; 4) Utilizing automated systems to receive and verify correctness of material requirements to support ship board maintenance; 5) Providing technical direction, clarification and guidance to contract specifications included in the statement of work; and 6) Establishing and submitting contract requests for procurement via automated systems.
