You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE. #LI-NAVSUPFLCJ

Duties

You will assist customers by researching material identification characteristics (i.e. stock number, alternate stock numbers, source of supply, unit price, etc.) using various websites/databases. You will examine items received, notes overages, shortages or any damages in shipping, and prepare detailed reports. You will receive, edit, and input customer requisitions into the NAVY ERP computer system. You will prepare all discrepant documents in accordance with applicable DON/DOD processing standards.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift certification.

Qualifications

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a supply technician. Specialized experience must include all or most of the following duties; 1) Investigating causes of shipping, receiving, storage and other types of physical distribution discrepancies; 2) Conducting routine quality control efforts to ensure workload is being met, reports are prepared and presented properly and procedures are in compliance with current policy and applicable directives; 3) Processing applicable corrective NAVY ERP transactions an/or contacting appropriate Aviation Support Detachment personnel for assistance in resolving the pending transaction; 4) Receiving, editing, and inputting customer requisitions into the NAVY ERP computer system; 5) Serving as a primary point of contact for squadrons, station departments and other base agencies for proper ordering procedures and performing all procurement actions for the warehouse.
