Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as implementing and providing technical guidance on an organization’s records and information management program; implementing long-term strategic goals and resources projects; serving as the contracting representative for contracts or task orders in implementing records management procedures.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of administrative security, information management and records management laws, policies, regulations and precedents.
Knowledge of electronic records management systems and database applications and requirements.
Knowledge of analytical and evaluative techniques, methods, and qualitative and quantitative measuring tools to evaluate RIM work operations and recommend improvements.
Skill in performing Contracting Officer Representative (COR) duties.
Knowledge of records management concepts, practices, policies, and procedures sufficient to develop and manage the organization's Records and Information Management (RIM) program.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
