Duties
You will analyze, examine, monitor, reconcile, and record a variety of day-to-day accounting operations functions, as assigned that may include accounts payable and accounts receivables transactions.
You will ensure budget execution transactions comply with current regulations, instructions, guidance and policy in order to meet auditability requirements and FIAR standards.
You will review daily and weekly system reports. Conduct research and analysis of budget execution data, troubleshoot execution anomalies to determine the cause and initiate corrective actions.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting research and analysis of budget execution data, troubleshooting execution anomalies to determine the cause and initiates corrective actions; 2) Analyzing and providing various budget execution reports to the Business Lines, Support Lines and the Program Analyst Community; 3) Ensuring budget execution transactions comply with current regulations, instructions, guidance and policy in order to meet auditability requirements and FIAR standards; 4) Providing required budget execution support and advisory services to the Program Analyst Community regarding reporting formats and CFMS and SMARTS data queries in order to validate transactions and ensure accuracy. Education
For the GS-11 grade level, you may substitute the following education for the specialized experience:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major study in a field related to the position.
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a major study in a field related to the position.
OR

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
