Job opening: SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST

Salary: $139 395 - 181 216 per year

You will serve as a Deputy Department Head of the C4ISR Department of FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER within the OFFICE OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE.

Duties

You will serve as the first-line supervisor of multiple GG-14 Division Heads. You will ensure subordinate output complies with Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) and intelligence community (IC) tradecraft and security directives. You will monitor and ensure subordinate duties comply with over-arching policy guidance applied to all intelligence centers across the Department of Defense (DoD). You will manage a large diverse workforce of military and civilian engineers, physicists, and intelligence specialists. You will ensure subordinate supervisors organize, plan, and direct department fiscal and human resources in support of overall department mission priorities. You will be responsible for planning, directing, assigning, leading, and monitoring subordinate workload. You will develop hiring/retention strategies and manage employee performance to include promotions, rewards, and discipline.

Requirements

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require a Polygraph Examination.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS Trial Period.
  • PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Supervising and leading high-grade senior personnel; dealing objectively and harmoniously with them and rendering sound decisions for the organization. Managing analysis and intelligence production that adheres to intelligence community (IC) standards and leveraging other analytical resources to support internal and external customers. Analyzing and developing the organizations fiscal needs in order to execute the budget and ensure all operations are within the budget. Developing hiring/retention strategies and managing employee performance to include promotions, rewards, and discipline. Planning, assigning and monitoring subordinate workload.
