Duties
Serve as Chief, Program Analysis Branch, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff, G8.
Point of contact on all five-year defense program matters for Active and Reserve component forces.
Direct the development of Army component assessments of the Army Program Objective Memorandum (POM) for US Indo-Pacific Command.
Review and analyze command programs and utilization trends in order to identify excesses, shortfalls or imbalances.
Supervise a staff of analysts, plan and assign work, evaluate performance, and identify training and developmental needs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Requires additional work hours to accommodate peak workflow, often under severe time constraints.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position. Incumbent is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of Army requirements of this certification program.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Probationary period may be required.
- Supervisory probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting resource assessments against priority requirements to build the Program Objective Memorandum (POM); developing executive level summaries of program and budget resourcing decisions; and incorporating new requirements into the planning and programming process for consideration. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
