This position is located within the Office of Airports (ARP), Management Staff, ARP-010. The incumbent serves as a Government Information Specialist and provides support and assistance to management and staff on laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act and records/file management.

Duties

Performs multiple, varying and complex assignments under the limited direction of a manager or more experienced professional. Applies experience and advanced knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and policies pertaining to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act and the protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to enter incoming requests from the general public, legislative offices, or other government organizations into tracking system(s) or database(s); and review, assign, process and complete responses.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • No Travel Required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-G, FG/GS-10/11 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Specialized experience is defined as:-Experience reviewing and editing documents prior to release to members of the general public, legislative offices, or other government organizations in accordance with rules and regulations pertaining to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act.AND-Experience applying laws, rules, polices, regulations and statutory requirements associated with records and file management to provide support and assistance to management and staff.AND-Experience maintaining databases; or developing reports and/or spreadsheets for use by targeted audiences.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
