This position is located in the Office of the Deputy Secretary, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Service Center (FSC). FSC is responsible for providing policies, standards, and procedures that ensure the Department complies with governmental information management requirements for the statutes that FSC administers, including the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act (PA).

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification RequirementsYou may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-15, if you possess the specialized experience.Specialized Experience for the GS-15
One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-14 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:
Experience designing and implementing an outreach and/or training program, including developing job aids, standard operating procedures, and/or training materials for wide and diverse audiences.
Experience interpreting and adapting underlying Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act principles, purpose, and intent of legal and regulatory guidelines in making program determinations.
Experience implementing quality assurance measures in agency responses to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act requests, appeals, or both.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). You do not need to provide separate narrative responses to these KSAs, as they will be measured by your responses to the occupational questionnaire (you may preview the occupational questionnaire by clicking the link at the end of the Evaluations section of this vacancy announcement).
Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices of a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended study or experience.
Skills in planning, organizing and directing work, negotiating effectively with management officials.
Knowledge on how regulatory programs are administered to select and apply appropriate techniques in determining compliance with FOIA rules and regulations.
