About the Position: Serves as the Training Support Specialist with the Training Branch, Plans, Training, & Mobilization Division of the Army Expedited Civilian Workforce (AECW), G-1, Headquarters Department of Army (HQDA). As the action officer and technical consultant, manages the Organizational Inspection Program (OIP) and develops planning requirements, manages and/or recommends training plans, procedures and policies in support of the Department of Defense pre-deployment processing.
Duties
Provides direct input and assistance into the development and execution of the collective and individual training programs for pre and post deployment.
Advises on all aspects of policy, planning, review, and research related to all aspects of pre and post deployment training.
Serves as the Army Expedited Civilian Workforce (AECW) Organizational Inspection Program planner and manager that plans, manages and coordinates the conduct of the AECWs Organizational Inspection Program.
Represents the directorate in actions involving training and training-related activities with subordinate commands, higher headquarters and Department of Defense (DoD) Force Providers
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Travel may be required up to 15% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Assists with optimizing training requirements in developing, planning, and implementing training processes; aids in the development and execution of group and individual trainings; and provides input on assigned training projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
