You will serve as a Executive Director in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) located in MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Duties

You will manage and supervise the command workforce. You will demonstrate well-developed skills in communication, formal and informal, oral, and written. You will assist by developing, coordinating, and presenting the regulatory and technical implications of present and proposed actions. You will coordinate the assembly and presentation of the finished product to the Commanding Officer for consideration. You will convene regular meetings with management personnel for the purpose of ascertaining and discussing status of work in progress and plans for induction of new tasks. You will review financial, material, and workload reports to inquire of and provide assurance for tasks and programs, which may be in trouble. You will lead in executing complex, politically sensitive and difficult policy changes, directives, and investigations required for managing the organization. Such

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Demonstrating expert knowledge in budget management and fiscal responsibility as they will be responsible for managing an organizational budget of roughly 250 million dollars and a customer provided budget of approximately one billion dollars used to provide maintenance support to the fleet. 2.) Utilizing expert Knowledge of and responsible for supporting the recruitment, development, and retention of a high-quality workforce. 3.) Establishing and maintaining effective two-way communications and a positive work environment. 4.) Communicating with the Commanding Officer while establishing broad overall command policy, keeping with that directed from higher echelons, by developing, coordinating, and presenting the regulatory and technical implications of present and proposed actions. 5.) Leading in the execution of complex, politically sensitive and difficult policy changes, directives, and investigations required for managing the organization. Such projects might include reorganizations, reassignments of senior personnel or researching means of increasing managerial efficiency or productivity. 6.) Assisting with overall planning and execution of management functions necessary to ensure meeting command objectives. 7.) Demonstrating expert knowledge of the U.S. Navy support policies, procedures and objectives, and comprehensive knowledge of the reliability, maintainability, capability, and compatibility of fleet assets. 8.) Collaborating with multiple Commands for the coordination of interrelated and complex work requirements. 9.) Utilizing delegated authority to oversee the overall planning, direction and timely execution of command programs; approve multiyear and long-range work plans, oversee the revision of long-range plans, goals and objectives for the work of the command; manage the development of policy changes, organizational changes, and the command resources.
