About the Position: This position is located in the Army Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Academy Operations Branch. This is a developmental position; you may be selected at any grade level for which qualified, with non-competitive promotion potential to target grade (GS-09).

Duties

This is a developmental position, responsibilities are listed at the full performance GS-09 level which is not an all-inclusive list: Incumbent performs a variety of analytical and functional duties essential to the operation and management of the academy. Serves as the assistant ATRRS administrator for the SHARP Trainer Course, Program Manager Course, SARC/VA Career Course and the SHARP Foundation Course. Perform administrative office management, civilian time and attendance records, and related administrative services. Performs facilities and supply support, manages, and performs supply ordering and accountability duties. Serve as a government purchase card holder and exercises overall responsibility for the procurement of office supplies and equipment. Serve as central point of contact to receive documents that affect payroll accounts and to distribute various reports. Prepare receiving reports and cost vouchers, and maintains records and reports, including cost reporting.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 level background investigation throughout the duration of employment.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), may be required up to 5% of the time.

Specialized experience is defined as: Work which includes determining standardized management practices and administrative procedures to conduct studies of administrative work processes in order to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to increase productivity and accuracy regarding staff action and administrative processes for the Army/Branches of the SHARP Academy; review correspondence to determine grammatical, punctuation, and content accuracy and providing technical guidance and instruction on the use and operation of an automated training tracking system. 4-year course of study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree.

GS-05 Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.

GS-07 - Substitution of Education
Education:
One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Adult Learning & Leadership or Education.:

GS-07 Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages., etc. (NOTE: You MUST submit copies of ALL your transcripts.)

Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled. Superior Academic Achievement is based on:
(1) Class Standing - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses;
OR
(2) Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.) - Applicants must have a grade-point average of either (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum;
