You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Logistics Department, Mission Systems Group, Code AC33100 as the VH-92A Avionics DAPML within the PMA-274 Presidential Helicopter Program Office Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will determine the best approach in planning and expending resources/funding to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture. You will develop and implement product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost. You will identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of total life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements. You will develop and review program technical documentation and provide input and direction on logistics/maintenance issues and requirements. You will apply logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements. You will develop and implement maintenance capability establishment as required to support maintenance concepts/requirements to achieve program goals and objectives within budget and life cycle cost. You will assist in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases. You will participate in the Configuration Management Process by developing, reviewing and submitting all associated documentation in support of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Boards (CCB) Presentations and Technical Directives. You will critically evaluate the causes of support related problems and choose appropriate courses of action that balance the interests of the program mission and stakeholders. You will establish a robust total cost of ownership effort and develop affordable readiness initiatives, where appropriate, to reduce life-cycle cost. You will provide analyses on degraders and data gathered from logistics management information systems in the execution of logistics and program planning documentation. You will represent VH-92A Mission Systems IPT at the ILS Working Groups, Logistics Products and Process Reviews, Integrated Logistics Assessments, Milestone Reviews, Maintenance Working Groups, etc. in support of the program. You will prepare and/or deliver presentations to customers/stakeholders in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements. You will defend necessary modifications to previously approved plans to ensure program objectives are met.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating working knowledge of logistics management in support of aviation program and associated information systems; 2) Developing and implementing maintenance capability establishment to support maintenance concepts/requirements to achieve aviation program goals and objectives within budget and life cycle cost: 3) Providing logistics expertise and guidance to employees, management, and other program stakeholders to ensure that designed logistics support systems meet established supportability requirements and performance parameters; 4) Preparing and/or delivering presentations to customers/stakeholders in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements; and 5) Assist in the development and management of contract requirements to support engineering/acquisition phases.
