About the Position: This is a Concept Developer position located within the US Army Futures Command, Futures and Concepts Center, Directorate of Concepts (DOC), Army Concepts Division (ACD).
Duties
Manages the integrated development of capability sets and enabler lists for Future Force organizational designs to support AFC experimentation and analytical efforts, including which are authoritative for Army war gaming.
Coordinates with experts from across DoC, FID, the CDIDs, DEVCOM, and DOIS to develop the annual capability enabler list for war games and experimentation, and provides capability sets and enablers for formations within the Future Force.
Provides future force organizational design recommendations that integrate technologies of various maturities, to support future force development of how the Army could operate, be equipped, and organize.
Writes/develops White Papers, Point Papers and Information Papers relating to concept development and future force design.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 30% of the time.
- This position may require the incumbent to work regular unscheduled/unplanned overtime.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
