This position is located in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, Budget and Strategic Planning Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of major organizational planning and resource management.

Duties
Establishes goals and implements planning for national workforce and resource management strategies, studies and analyses that will enable Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP) to perform its mission and meet its short and long-term goals and objectives, including coordinating and managing integrated projects involving resource management, providing direction across organizational and jurisdictional lines, and presenting recommendations and alternative programs or solutions to specific problems to DCP’s senior management.
Analyzes, develops, recommends, and implements guidelines, processes, or procedures related to strategic, financial, and workforce planning issues; devises new approaches; and provides expert knowledge in support of corporate initiatives.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience analyzing core staffing needs, levels, and trends; compiling, evaluating, and reviewing an organizational budget; analyzing budget trends and performance; and participating in the development and reporting on strategic plans based on the Government Performance Results Act.
