About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, Joint Staff, Arlington, VA.
About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.
Duties
Facilitate and/or coordinate National Guard enterprise Process Improvement efforts.
Responsible for the strategic direction and operations of the Process Improvement Office (PIO), the Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Program, and the NGB Assistance Program.
Responsible for planning, executing, and managing the overall strategy for the National Guard Process Improvement, CPI, and NGB Assistance Programs.
Serve as Office Chief responsible for providing technical direction, advice and assistance for operations of the PIO Staff.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes plan, program and secure resources for Process Improvement initiatives; prepare and communicate senior level briefings, information, and concept papers; advocate business management improvement initiatives to support strategic objectives; research and write performance management and process improvement policy and initiatives; oversee contract performance management and performance improvement mission set.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
