You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Business Support Branch, Waterfront Operations Support Division, Waterfront Operations Department of SUPSHIP.

Duties
You will serve as Assistant Waterfront Operations Department Representative for the following positions: Records Liaison, Office Security Coordinator, Seating Coordinator, and Continuity of Operations (COOP) representative.
You will perform Technical Support Management (TSM) workflow support, collect and analyze departmental budget information, collect data and information for reports, respond to data calls, and perform administrative tasks on behalf of the Department.
You will coordinate Project Assessment briefings to update Department Heads and senior SUPSHIP managers on status of ships under repair and construction and foster internal alignment between them.
You will assist with Command-level Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) events which includes facilitation and idea sharing to improve processes and technologies for effective knowledge sharing and collaboration.
You will utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to define, measure, and analyze problems and processes.
You will assess program effectiveness and analyze a variety of unusual conditions, problems, or questions.
You will apply fact-finding/work measurement techniques to conduct studies requiring skill in adapting analytical criteria to measurement/improvement of program effectiveness and organizational productivity.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
FOR THE GS-09 GRADE LEVEL: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing program data, reports, execution, or performance to identify solutions at improving an organization's internal processes, procedures or methods in support of shipbuilding operations.
FOR THE GS-07 GRADE LEVEL: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing analytical techniques or methods to assist with identifying inefficiencies in shipbuilding operation processes, procedures, or methods.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
FOR THE GS-09 GRADE LEVEL:
- successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree; -OR-
- successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree; -OR-
- obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled; -OR-
- combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
FOR THE GS-07 GRADE LEVEL:
- successful completion of one full year of graduate level education; -OR-
- successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement; -OR-
- a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
