Duties
Major Duties of the Position:
This position develops research curriculum and serves as the Assistant Director for Cadet Research Programs & Curriculum in the USAFA's Office of Research (DFQ). They perform integrated program management of all Cadet Research Programs, to include administrating the Cadet Summer Research Program (CSRP) and serving as the Course Director for Summer Research 481 & 486. They are also responsible for developing and integrating all curriculum pertaining to undergraduate research. The position oversees the creation, implementation, assessment, modification, and execution of policy, strategies, and developmental programs throughout DF as they relate to Cadet Research and associated curriculum. Ensure that the undergraduate research curriculum at USAFA is designed to develop cadets both academically and as leaders of character. Conducts research aimed at improving the efficacy of USAFA's research programs. Assigned tasks within this portfolio include developing and facilitating cadet research initiatives and strategies as defined in Air Force Mission Directive 12 (dated 21 June 2023); supporting the development and integration of research into the Academy's Course of Instructions, Institutional Outcomes, and the approximately 125 academic research courses and other associated research activities and programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in a relevant discipline with research background and at least 5 years of applicable professional experience.
ACADEMIC DISCIPLINES:
Relevant discipline with research background.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years of full-time college-level teaching or administration preferred.

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the educational requirements.
