About the Position: Works under the general supervision of the Chief, Public Works Division, Installation Management Command Directorate, with the authority and responsibility for providing technical environmental advice in regard to program planning, development, execution, and evaluation.

Duties

Executes oversight and execution of environmental compliance, restoration, and natural resource management to assigned garrisons. Advises assigned garrisons on to include water/wastewater, air, solid/hazardous waste, compliance assessments, pollution prevention, natural resources, historic and cultural resources. Applies analytical techniques in the development and validation of environmental financial requirements and work plan execution to include manpower and contract program requirements. Investigates and applies work management efficiencies while exercising staff oversight over productivity improvement initiatives for all environmental functions and aspects across the DPW. Plans, conducts or participates in studies of DPW and environmental organizations to validate essential processes performed and evaluate compliance with statutory requirements, DoD policies, Presidential Orders and army regulations. Conducts on-site visits to evaluate effectiveness of installation programs.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
