About the Position: Incumbent will serve as a Human Resources (HR) Specialist (Military) performing duties as the Systems Administrator with responsibilities of a wide variety of procedural and substantive duties associated with the automated processing of military personnel actions and administration of the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A).
This is a developmental position, GS-07 FPL GS-09. Management may select at either grade level.
Duties
Plans, directs, and coordinates the administration of HRIS automation operations.
Solicits comments from other staff offices and units; compares requests for personnel information support in view of requirements and resources
Advises commanders of information available from IPPS-A including the possible uses for the data
Provides personnel information support, training and technical assistance to personnel managers and users.

Specialized Experience: GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Utilizing military human resources automated systems such as IPPS-A, eMILPO and eTOPMIS; and 2) Providing technical support for various computer data systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Specialized Experience: GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Reviewing and auditing information stored in military human resources database systems; 2) Identifying deficiencies and solutions to database issues impacting the success of military personnel operations; and 3) Utilizing human resources automated systems to research information in reference to personnel records and databases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
