The primary purpose of this position is to function as the Unit Deployment Manager ensuring assigned personnel are qualified and ready to meet Air Expeditionary Force requirements.

Duties

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Readiness Program, ensuring programs comply with legal and regularly requirements and meet customers needs Performs analysis activities. Provides technical guidance and recommendations to senior leadership regarding unit deployment program. Ensures personnel readiness.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: You must meet one of the following qualification requirements and provide documentation to support your qualifications (If you are using education to qualify, failure to submit the required documentation will result in you being rated ineligible. See sections on "College Transcripts" and "Foreign Education" below for required documentation.): SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have, or will have within 120 days of closing of this announcement, at lease one year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01 (or higher) grade level or equivalent pay systems (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, public or private sector). Examples of specialized experience include: Using established guidance, develops and implements home station military workload mitigation plans to maximize deployable capability; Reviewing implications of wartime and exercise plans in relation to units' available resources to determine ability to meet specified tasks; Reviewing all deployable related documents for applicable equipment and personnel tasking and identifying the units total deployment requirements to meet mission requirements; and Analyzing the combat capability of unit through intensive evaluation of training, equipment status, manning, and unit supervision. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. OR EDUCATION: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of DoD and USAF CBRN/ Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and EM directives, doctrine, principles, policies, and lines of authority. 2. Knowledge of a wide range of readiness and emergency response principles, practices, procedures, and regulations applicable to the full range of contingency preparedness responsibilities on a military installation, and the relationship of these responsibilities to local civil emergency management programs. 3. Knowledge of a variety of information systems and programs used to manage training and equipment status reporting, e.g., Defense Readiness Reporting Systems (DRRS), and Status of Resources and Training (SORTS)System, Air Force Information Tool (AFIT), Aerospace Services Information Management System (ASIMS). 4. Skill in applying standard analytical and evaluative methods and procedures to evaluate local program operations, develop comprehensive plans, analyze work processes, and continually improve them to meet customer requirements. 5. Ability to plan, organize, communicate, advocate, and negotiate effectively with senior analysts and management to accept and implement recommendations where proposals involve substantial resources, and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures. 6. Ability to work well within a complex group dynamic and in working groups. 7. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options concerning unit readiness. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
