You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will correlate Information Assurance (IA) incidents, events, and present a comprehensive picture to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). You will establish and implement a system for issuing, protecting, and changing system passwords, performs security audits and creation of documentation and remediation plans. You will perform project management activities through all phases of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing). You will review proposed projects for adequate analysis, justification and proper consideration of supporting requirements. You will develop and maintain milestones schedules as needed. You will review and evaluate completed projects and systems specifications to assure performance and onsite readiness criteria are met.

Qualifications

I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: 3.
