This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
Duties
Provides supervision to and through subordinate staff and supervisors to military, civilian, and contract staff.
Provides daily oversight of all functions related to supporting the EOP, OVP, NSC, USSS, and WHMO and their staffs, including direct IT support to the President, Vice President and First Lady.
Expert IT Specialist working in a number of specialty areas to include policy and planning, security, systems analysis, applications software, operating systems, network services, data management, systems administration, and customer support.
Serves as staff advisor/authority on Presidential IT, communications, and operational matters.
Plans and coordinates project implementation, to include network engineering and installation, and schedules/coordinates authorized service interruptions that directly support the President, Vice President, the National Security Council, and others.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

- This position is covered under DoD Manual 8140 which will be subject to future Cyber Workforce requirements as defined by the Manual.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Basic Requirements:
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
Attention to Detail- experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been asked by others to review their work or data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.
Customer Service- experience maintaining relationships with customers, assessing current information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products and services that are tailored to meet customer needs.
Oral Communication- briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience.
Problem Solving- identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions.

Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as:
Experience in exercising technical and administrative functions for a team of telecommunications, IT, and maintenance specialists, and overseeing/managing contractor work.

Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon an Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), AND be approved for Presidential Support Duty in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (Yankee White - Category II, minimum).
