About the Position: This position is located Dir of RM Logistics Equipment Management at Fort Sam Houston, Texas

Duties

Serve as a functional subject matter expert in radiology, laboratory, patient monitoring, Pulmonary, and high-end electronics maintenance. Evaluate, install, maintain, diagnose, repair, calibrate and test medical equipment and systems used at Army Medical Treatment facilities. Prepare plans of instruction and conduct training of procedures, techniques, methods of operations, testing and calibrating medical systems, and test measurement diagnostic equipment setup for staff personnel. Manage the system of record to include DMLSS (Defense Medical Logistics Standard support). Inspect, operate, and test medical equipment to determine whether it meets government's specifications after purchase. Evaluate and install sophisticated/complex medical equipment and/or systems. Isolate and resolve the complex relationship between electrical, electronic, computer operating systems, mechanical, physical and chemical components of the equipment and system and changes in circuitry.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Moderate to heavy lifting up to 60 pounds may be required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
