Duties

Knowledge of electronic theory and/or medical procedures such as digital and integrated circuits computer operating systems, mechanical, physical and chemical components equipment respective Environment of Care become part of the system. Perform evaluation and/or provide consultation and technical instructions to members of the medical team. Systems interface and local area network issues are significant and not defined/discussed in manufacturer literature, thus the technician is required to resolve issues typically without benefit of IT personnel. Based on the equipment, network, and medical procedure being performed, understand the physiological parameters associated with a patient when diagnosing and troubleshooting medical equipment and systems, to deal effectively with patients. In-depth understanding and ability to diagnose problems with the quality of images and signals as required by medical professionals.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 60 pounds may be required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
  • A pre-placement medical examination is required.
