This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Financial Management Division (FC), Office of Resource Management (FR), Program Liaison and Analysis Section (FRP).
This position(s) primary purpose is to support the FRP/FR as in-house expert on the budget for assigned DEA programs developing briefing materials and backup data to support of congressional testimony given by the Administrator on program-specific issues related to justification of budget requests.

As a Program Analystyour typical work assignments may include:
Identify multi-year program requirements and transform this information into appropriate budget and financial plan submissions that support and defend resource requests and utilization at all levels of the process.
Work with program managers to provide programmatic updates to DEA position cost modules and support budgetary adherence to the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA).
Primary interface between FR and program managers on budget and program issues.
Assisting leadership in the development of policy and recommending changes to improve operations; and implementing those operating practices throughout all of Office of Resource Management programs.
Work as a team leader or member with other analysts within and outside FRP to ensure integration and coordination of work products.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
GS-12:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Performing assigned resource acquisition and utilization oversight activities; 2) Assisting with the evaluation of contents of external budget pass backs received; 3) Assisting with congressional budgeting and executive branch processes associated to resource utilization.
GS-13:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-12. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Expertise in resource acquisition and utilization oversight activities; 2) Evaluating evaluation of contents of external budget pass backs received; 3) Using congressional budgeting and executive branch processes associated to resource utilization.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
